Richard H. Bogan joined The Chamber during its inaugural year. His executive leadership positions in the technology, logistics and consumer products industries, both private and public companies, provides him with personal expertise in varying types of business formats and situations. Bogan is the former Chairman & CEO of Axion Power International, an energy storage and technology company with significant partners in the People’s Republic of China. He is presently an advisor and operating partner at Key Bridge Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, joining in 2008. Prior to Key Bridge he acted as a consultant in M&A to privately held companies with RHB Partners. In 2002-2003 he was Executive VP and CFO of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Holdings, where he directed a $150 million reorganization and 8% US workforce reduction to right-size the company and directed a team of 1,000 staff members.
Before RJ Reynolds, Bogan was President of North American Logistics, a $700 million privately held company in the transportation, logistics and warehousing sector, and earlier was President and CFO of Unisource Worldwide, a $7 billion NYSE-listed company, also in logistics & wholesale distribution. He was with the consumer products company Philip Morris for two decades, rising to Senior VP and CFO of the Miller Brewing Company subsidiary. He earned his baccalaureate in accounting at the University of Washington – Seattle and is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Certificate in Management Accounting. The Maryland resident serves as a volunteer business advisor to the Executive Director of the Easton, Maryland, Economic Development Corporation.
